Over the last few months I have been focusing on designing a new Job advertising platform. The recruitment space is changing at a rapid pace, placing a role can now take a matter of minutes rather than days for senior contract roles. We had to completely re-think the classified business model and design for this new era or recruiting. Our main competitor is Seek who have over 1000 staff we have about 30 in the Jobs team. Working closely with our Product Manager and Delivery team we have achieved some great results so far.
Feedback from our customers:
"Finding it easy and fun to use"
"Far more user-friendly than Seek talent search"
"Have gotten results from Scout"
334% growth in active weekly users June to December 2018
Scout had 12K candidate searches last month (November 2018)
68% of target users returning daily.
20K CV downloads
I have been designing the Trade Me Jobs web platform since January 2015. Over that time our team has seen a number of key successes:
Over 140,000 Job Profiles created
20% increase in conversion rate on the Jobs listing page (Desktop site)
Nearly doubled the conversion rate of the new Jobs application page
Working across three Agile squads UX and product design
The problem:
Create a premium product that has a higher value than our featured or branded listings. Also consider how this product will work in the future. Initial experiment tested variants with and without images, the image version had considerably higher CTR, watchlists & applications.
Made $61,000 so far (in two months)
• Views increased
• Applications increaed
• Average of $214 per listing

NV started with an extensive and analytical review of the company's website and digital strategy. Together, NV and Chelsea looked at what drove people to the site and how they were interacting with it. From there, a set of objectives was defined along with specific strategies and the key metrics that would be used to measure their success.
Monique says, “Our key measurement tools for the site were unique visitors, recipe club membership, page views and for our fortnightly newsletter we were looking to increase subscribers and increase open rates and click throughs”.
